LOVE WHAT YOU DO, OR DO SOMETHING ELSE.

You'll never achieve real success unless you like what you're doing. No one has ever succeeded in a line of endeavor which they did not like.

Your chances of success are directly proportional to the degree of pleasure you derive from what you do. If you're in a job you hate, face the fact squarely and get out. It's better to be a failure in something you love, than attempting to be a success in something you don't.

Don't set compensation as a goal. Find the work you love, and the compensation will follow. The more you love what you are doing, the more successful it will be for you.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK.

It's a psychological law that whatever you desire to accomplish
you must first impress upon your subconscious mind.

Your inner thoughts can cause you to be rich or poor, loved or unloved, happy or unhappy, attractive or unattractive, powerful or weak. What you impress upon your mind, you'll inevitably become. Relentless, repetitive self talk will change your self image. You'll affect your subconscious mind with verbal repetition. Constant repetition carries conviction.

When you change your values you'll change your behavior.Start thinking of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Self suggestion will make you the master of yourself. You can become whatever you want to be. When you believe you can, you can.

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ARE DREAMERS

Your dreams are your visions of where you'll be after the battle, your prize at the end of your journey to success. Your goals are the steps you take to finally attain your prize.

Unless you're willing to work hard and establish some discipline in your life,
all of your dreams will be pipe dreams, little mental fantasy trips that will never materialize.

Make concrete steps toward fulfilling your ultimate dream,
and start with solid objectives called goals.
Your dreams are where you want to go, your goals are how you get there.

The first indispensable step to getting the things you want out of life is this:
decide what you want. Don't be afraid to think big and dare to be great.
Dreamers are not content with mediocrity.
They never dream of going half way. People with goals succeed because they know where they're going.

BEING SUCCESSFUL IS WITHIN YOU

How things look on the outside of you always depends
on how things are on the inside of you. Your thoughts have brought you to where you are today. Your actions always mirror your thoughts. Take a good look at where you are and what you're doing, and you can understand what you've been thinking.
Your mind is your true essence. Your behavior is the perpetual revealing of yourself.
What you do, tells everyone who and what you are.

Change your thoughts and you can change your position in life.
You can start this process at anytime. Why not start today?

WHO'S TO BE MASTER OF YOUR LIFE?
Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better, you have to take things into your own hands. Once you decide to be at the level of choice, you take responsibility for your life and gain control of it. If you don't run your own life, someone else will. You're in control of your life to the degree that you make the decisions.

If you let others make decisions for you, you have no control.
When you control the decisions, you control the actions. Take charge of your life.
You don't have to ask permission of other people. Don't give someone veto power over your life. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?

YOU DO NOT EXIST FOR YOURSELF
Your success depends on the support of other people. The only hurdle between you and what you want to be, is the support of others. Put yourself in another's place, and you'll know why they think and do certain things. You can succeed fastest by helping others to succeed. Always think in terms of what the other person wants. You'll get everything in life that you want if you'll help enough other people get what they want. Doing things for others always pays dividends.

You're not an isolated island. You're a piece of the planet, a piece of the universe.
Personal relationships are the fertile soil from which all advancement, all success, all achievement in real life grows. When you help someone's boat across a river,
you'll find your own boat has reached the shore too.

PERSISTENCE IS REQUIRED TO REACH ANY GOAL
"Keep trying" is the rule that must be followed to be successful at anything

Your success will always be connected with your actions. Just keep moving towards your goal. You'll make mistakes but don't ever quit. You may even have to hang on after others have let go. Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle,
to do all that's necessary to reach your goal. In the end, the only people who fail are those that do not try. To achieve something great takes time and persistence.

It's your life. You decide what you're going to do with it. If you don't run your own life, someone else will. You're in control of your life to the degree that you make decisions. To control the outcome of anything, you control the action at the point of decision making. If you let others make decisions for you, you give up control. When you control the decisions, you control the actions.

Take charge of your life, so there is no longer a need to ask permission of others.
When you ask permission, you are giving someone veto power over your life. Only you are responsible for your life. Take control and start making those decisions.

LOOK AT THINGS AS THEY CAN BE
Your range of available choices right now has no limits. The only limits you have are in your mind. You've got it in you to succeed. Just make up your mind and stick with it. You weren't born with any limits on your powers or any set limits to your capacity. At any moment, you have more possibilities than you can act upon.

Imagine your possibilities and your vision expands. Capture your dreams in your mind and your life becomes full. Reach out and touch the limits of your being in your mind. You can, because you think you can.

Courage is the power to face your difficulties. It comes from the reserves of your mind that are more powerful than any of your outside circumstances. When you recognize that you are bigger than your problems, you gain the courage necessary to overcome anything. Your obstacles will look large or small to you
according to whether you are large or small. Courage is the capacity to confront what can be imagined. It gives you the ability to rise above reality. You are more important than any of your problems.

BELIEF MAKES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE.
If you want to succeed, you must first believe that you can succeed. The only thing that stands between you and what you want from life, is the will to try it and the faith to believe that it's possible. The only true limit to your realization of tomorrow will be your doubts of today. The moment you carry the conviction of belief, in that moment your dream will become reality. If you think you can, you can.

SUCCESS IS ON YOUR HORIZON
You can start at anytime if you want to be successful.
But you have to start. You won't accomplish anything if you wait for all the possible objections to be overcome. Taking a new step, uttering a new word,
is what people fear most. Don't be afraid to live. Don't wait for things to change.
Don't wait until you have more time, until you are less tired, until you get the promotion,,until you settle down, until, until, until. Don't wait for a major event
in your life to occur before you begin to live. Begin where you are.
Work where you are. The hour you are wasting now, dreaming of some far off success,
is crowded with tremendous possibilities.

When you take the first step, your mind will mobilize all its forces to assist you.
Once you have started, all that is within and around you will come to your assistance. The only way to start down the road to success is to start.

WANTING TO WIN IS EVERYTHING

Success is connected with continuous action. It's largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go. You're not finished when you're defeated, you're only finished when you quit. The most important quality essential to success is perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature. You can have a fresh start any time you choose, for "failure" is not in the falling down, but in the staying down. It's not over until it's over. If you've got the courage to stick it out, you'll attain your goal. Winning isn't everything, but wanting to is.
TAKING A RRISK IS OFTEN YOUR FIRST STEP TOWARD SUCCESS

If you don't take some risks, you won't get the chance to succeed. While you are trying, you are winning. The law of averages is on your side. The more you try, the greater your chance of succeeding. Never get discouraged.

Every wrong attempt is another step forward. People that make no mistakes usually don't make anything. Make up your mind not merely to overcome a thousand obstacles,
but to win in spite of a thousand defeats. Your mistakes are stepping stones to success and your installment payments to victory.

You can't be a winner and be afraid to lose.
Just remember that you can do the most remarkable things no matter what ! Johnny, will say when the W.H.Y is big enough the HOW does not matter.
MAKING CHOICES IS YOUR GREATEST POWER

While your character is formed by your circumstances, your desires can shape those circumstances. The one thing over which you have absolute control is your own thoughts. It is this that puts you in a position to control your own destiny.

Nature is constantly at work around you. Character and destiny are her handiwork. She gives you love and hate, jealousy and reverence. You have the power to choose which impulse you follow. At any time you can decide to alter the course of your life.
No one can ever take that away from you. You can do what you want to do and be who you want to be. Your greatest power is the power to choose.

FREEDOM MEANS RESPONSIBILITY

Freedom is the right to live as you wish. If you wish to free yourself from enslavement, you must choose freedom and the responsibility it entails. There's a price for every freedom, something to be given up for every liberty. It's up to you to weigh the price you must pay for each of your freedoms. And everything you want has a price.

Freedom is the opportunity to make decisions. It's the capacity to take a hand in your own development. Freedom is the right to choose. It's the right to create for yourself the alternatives of choice. No one is free who is not master of himself. You are free to do whatever you like. You need only face the consequences of your actions.

CONCENTRATION WILL OPEN ANY DOOR

The first law of success is concentration. Concentration is your magic key that opens the door to accomplishing anything. When your physical and mental resources are focused,
your power to resolve problems multiples tremendously. To do two things at once is to do neither. Bend all of your energies to one point, and go directly to that point, looking neither to the right nor to the left.

Nothing can add more power to your life as much as concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus.
Success is the result of well directed energy.

Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that's necessary to reach your goal. In the end, the only people who fail are those that do not try.
To achieve something great takes time and persistence.

Sooner or later you'll encounter a crisis in your life, and how you meet it will determine your future happiness and success. Since the beginning of time, everyone has been called upon to meet such a crisis.Close scrutiny will show you that most "crisis situations" are opportunities to either advance or stay where you are.

Indeed, most people make changes in their life out of either
"inspiration" or "desperation." Personal growth is the process of responding positively to change. Whatever comes your way, give it meaning and transform
it into something of value. A precious stone cannot be polished without friction,
nor humanity perfected without trials.
YOU GAIN STRENGTH OVERCOMING OBSTACLES.

THE GLASS IS ALWAYS HALF FULL
There is a good side to every situation. View your problems as opportunities.
You cannot have the successes without the failures. Any experience can be transformed into something of value. Everything depends on the way you look at things.

What are stumbling blocks and defeat before you can be stepping stones to victory if you remain determined. In all of your adversities lies the seeds of equivalent advantages.
In every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win the next time. When it's dark enough you can see the stars.

CHRISTMAS SYMBOLS

Christmas Tree

The decorated pine tree is associated with Christmas, though its use can be traced back 4000 years to various ancient cultures. The evergreen pine bough was believed to symbolise “life over death” during the winter solstice, the shortest day in the year.

Creche

The word 'creche' is of German origin and derived from the old French word cresche and means “crib'. The traditional Nativity creche consists of various depictions of Mary and Joseph with the infant Jesus in a manger. Attending figures may include shepherds, the stable animals, the three wise men , the star and angelic heralds.

Star

The Star (of Bethlehem) is usually placed on the top of the Christmas tree and it references the “bright and morning star” (Rev. 22:16) who is Jesus Christ. It is said to have a two-fold symbolism:

1. It signifies the 'Star of Bethlehem' which guided the Three Wise Men from the East to the infant Jesus.
2. It attests to the greatness of God who created the numberless stars (Gen: 1:16).

The Magi (Three Wise Men or Three Kings)

As recorded in the gospel of Matthew and Luke, “three wise men” journeyed “ from the east” and found the baby Jesus in Bethlehem of Judea. They were guided by the appearance of a Star in the Heavens, which heralded the Birth of the one born “King of the Jews.” As recorded in the gospels of Matthew and Luke, they worshipped the Christ child and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. These three wise men were Casper from Tarnish, Balthazar from Saba and Melchoir from Arabia.

Santa Claus

Also known as Father Christmas, Santa, Saint Nick and Kris Kringle. Commonly depicted as a jolly old man with a long white beard and wearing a red suit, Santa Claus is popular with children as a gift-giving figure. On Christmas Eve night he travels around the world, flying across the sky in a sleigh drawn by eight reindeer. In his sleigh is a sack of gifts (usually toys), which he distributes to children throughout the world. He enters households by sliding down the chimney with his sack of toys. He places the gifts under the christmas tree or in socks and stockings hung for that purpose. All this is done while the children sleep. During the year children write letters to him at his home in the North Pole, telling him what gifts they would like to receive for Christmas. The most important single source for the modern day version of Santa Claus comes from the Christmas poem “A Visit From St. Nicholas” by Clement C. Moore. Written for his children in 1823, the family poem was later published for the public and included what became the now famous picture of Santa Claus.

Mistletoe

The mistletoe (Viscum album) is an evergreen parasitic plant found on trees. Its use dates back to pre-Christianity in Europe where the Celts used it to decorate their homes to celebrate the coming of winter. It was regarded as bestowing future hope and peace to any who passed under it. The leaves and berries however are toxic to humans. At Christmas time it is customary to hang mistletoe from the ceiling. Couples exchange kisses under the mistletoe as a sign of friendship and goodwill.

Holly and Ivy

The Holly (Ilex aquilolium) is an attractive plant with scarlet berries. It is said to represent eternal life and was used by early Christians as a form of decoration. The holly's red berries signify joy and excitement. When used together, the holly and the ivy are regarded as symbols of friendship.

Poinsettia

Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrmia) or Flower of the Holy Night is accepted as a Christmas symbol in North and South America. It was discovered in Mexico by Dr. Joel R. Poinsette US Ambassador to Mexico. Its sale and use are popular around Christmas time as a decorative item for the home.
